Scouts offers fun, challenge and adventure to nearly 400,000 young people in the UK.
We know that young people thrive in safe surroundings, so we're committed to making sure that Scouts is enjoyable and safe for everyone who takes part.

We know if you’ve got a young person in your care with additional needs, doing something new can be scary – for both of you!
We pride ourselves on our inclusivity, and we do our best to make sure all our members can take part. There’s a lot of flexibility within the Scouts programme to meet individual needs, whether that be a disability, neurodiversity, or an educational, mental health or medical need.
The first night away from home. The first hike. The first trip abroad.
All of these moments are great for developing young people’s confidence, but we know how daunting it can be for the one packing their overnight bag and waving them off at the gates. And we know it doesn’t necessarily get easier as they grow.
Policy, organisation and rules is a living document that governs what we do and how we do it.
It provides support and guidance to help us all run Scouting, this resource is mainly aimed at volunteers, but parents might find useful information there too !
